Bubba Watson earned himself $1.44 million when he edged the likes of Louis Oosthuizen, Phil Mickelson and Lee Westwood to join the exclusive fraternity of Masters winners over the weekend, and the latest PGA golfer to don the green jacket could be in line for a similar payday if he?s able to sell his Lexington, NC home. Forbes brings word that the 2012 Masters Tournament champion, who finished off the final day at Augusta National with a fury, has put his lakefront house on the market, listing it?for $1.45 million.
Watson?s contemporary pad can be found nestled along the shores of High Rock Lake on a lot that measures approximately two-thirds of an acre. The house includes more roughly 6,500-square-feet of living space spread across three stories and features not one, but two indoor kitchens, a den, and a master suite with a sizeable walk-in closet. At the rear of the property, a custom slate stairway leads to an outdoor entertaining area that boasts a full kitchen, exterior fireplace, salt water pool and a hot tub. Found adjacent to the patio area is a boat house and slip that offers covered storage, a sea-do dock and an aluminum floating pier.
Watson began the final round at Augusta National as the second-to-last pairing, and forced Oosthuizen into a sudden death playoff after closing out the back-nine with birdies on holes 13 through 16. Channeling his inner ?Billy Madison,? Watson, on the 10th hole playoff, produced one of the most memorable shots in Masters Tournament history, using a hook shot to curl his ball around the trees and onto the green to setup his remarkable victory.
